When the Life Long Disoriented come to
me with a load of negativity and limitations, I know why they are
there. They want to clip my wings and keep my feet on the ground. When
the world pops me into its mold, I never come out as an eagle with the
ability to fly. I emerge from the mold earthbound with wings of lead.
The Bible says, “They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their
strength. They shall mount up with wings as eagles. They shall run and
not be weary. They shall walk and shall not faint.”
During most of my life, I should be flying like an eagle. Nevertheless,
on some days troubles will come, and conditions will not be favorable
for soaring. On those days, I will run and not be weary. At other
times, adversity will be greater, and I will walk and will not faint.
God designed me to fly like an eagle, and soaring is my domain. If I
don’t load myself up with burdens, I can soar for my entire life. I
will not let the world clip my wings or force me into its mold. I will
fly like an eagle.
God gave you wings so that you could fly like an eagle.
So why is it so many people spend their time grounded like gobbling
turkeys, rather than soaring on the updrafts of God's love?
Three reasons.
First, they don't know who they are.
Second, they allowed the world to clip their wings.
Third, they don't wait expectantly; they don't have positive
expectations.
Grounded eagles don't realize who they are. They don't know that
they were meant to soar in the skies rather than trot upon the ground.
They spend their days doing everything that turkeys do because they
don't know any better. Everyone else is out their gobbling, and
they figure that they are a gobbler too.
Grounded eagles had the ability to fly before the world clipped their
wings. They live in a wing-clipping world in which a million
voices tell them everything they cannot do, and before long, they
believe they can't fly. The wing-clippers won, and God lost
another soaring eagle.
Finally, grounded eagles don't wait expectantly. The Bible says,
"They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. They
shall mount up with wings as eagles."
Grounded eagles don't understand that they must WAIT EXPECTANTLY if they
want to fly like an eagle. They must expect that God is working
behind the scenes to renew their strength. It won't be long before
a miracle happens, and they will spread their wings and fly on the
updrafts of God's love.
God wants to work a miracle in your life, and if you want to fly like an
eagle, you must wait expectantly. Jesus said, "As you have
believed, so it will be done unto you." So spread you wings with
positive expectations, and it won't be long before you are soaring on
the updrafts of God's love.
