Jesus said,
“You shall know the truth,
and the truth shall set you free.” Scripture has the power to set me
free. Scriptures are not just good advice. They record the spiritual
journey of mankind and provide the roadmap for my life. They contain a
goldmine of empowering beliefs, and the wisdom of eternity is distilled
in its pages. I will memorize the following powerful scriptures from
the Bible.
As a man thinks in his heart, so is he.
Be transformed by the renewing of your mind.
What does the Lord require of you? To act justly, love mercy, and walk
humbly with your God.
We know that in all things, God works for the good of those who love
him.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not unto your own
understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall
direct your path.
The peace of God which passes all understanding shall keep your hearts
and minds.
Jesus used freedom as a primary test of truth. He said, "You shall
know the truth, and the truth shall set you free." Why did he say
that?
He said it because truth is the only thing that leads to freedom.
Everything else ties you up in knots and puts you into bondage.
Bondage and oppression are alive and well on planet earth. If you
don't want to become their victim, it's truth that will keep you free.
When someone knocks on your door and tries to unload their version of
the truth into your life, you need to look at your freedom meter.
If their message ties you in knots, then you shouldn't buy what they are
selling.
But if their truth sets you free and leads to a life of excellence, then
you have truth that you can trust. You can let your weight down
upon it and walk the road to freedom.
