The Bible says, “Whatever is true,
whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is
lovely, whatever is admirable, whatever is excellent, or worthy of
praise, think on these things.” This scripture is the formula for a
What I put into my mind transforms my life for better or worse.
What I listen to in the media changes who I am. What I watch on
television goes into my mind and stays there forever; it makes me into a
I will not walk the path of self-destruction by loading my mind with
toxic waste. Each time I dwell on negative thoughts, I plant the seeds
of my own destruction, because those thoughts will haunt me for the rest
of my life.
God gave me a mind, and He expects me to fill it with good things. I
focus my mind on everything that is true, noble, right, pure, lovely,
admirable, excellent, and worthy of praise, because I want to have those
kinds of things in my life. I want to experience those types of
thoughts while I work during the day and when I lay down to sleep at
night. I want those kinds of thoughts to bubble up in my mind when I
face the major challenges of life.

If you want to move in a new direction, you need to put new thoughts
into your mind. The wheel of change always turns in the direction of
what you put into your mind. That's why your thoughts are so important;
they determine the course of your life.
What you put into your mind is literally your steering wheel. Every
time you put in a new thought, you steer in a new direction.
Lots of folks are discouraged by all their problems. Mountains of
adversity surround them on all sides. Sometimes they feel like there is
no hope, and as long as they think only about all their problems, they
are right. But the instant they put new and positive thoughts into
their mind, the wheel of change turns their life in a completely
different direction, and they leave their problems behind.
How do you put new thoughts into your mind?
It's easier than you might think.
First, you can look at positive pictures that have a message of hope.
Pictures go directly into your mind and remain there for the rest of
your life. Each picture gives your mind a push in a positive
direction. That's why
PositiveGraphics.com exists. There are one-hundred and
sixty-five positive graphics ready to turn your life in a new direction.
Second, you can repeat positive self-talk.
You can change who you are by changing what you say when you talk to
your mind, so use positive affirmations to become a new person.
Repeat this affirmation: God loves me and accepts me the way that I
am, but He loves me too much to let me stay that way. God loves me from
the top of my head to the tip of my toes, and it doesn't get any better
than that. There is no limit to how good my life can become when I open
my heart and mind to the power of God's love.
Third, you can listen to positive recordings.
That's really easy to do using positive podcasts. I have nearly fifty
positive podcasts on my websites. Go to
PositiveChristianRadio.com and fill
your mind with a message of hope.
If you do these three things, the wheel of change will take you in a new
and positive direction.
Butterflies are all about change.
They start out with a worm-like body and end up soaring through life.
I spend lots of time photographing butterflies and putting them on my
websites to remind people that change is the rule of life. There's
a butterfly in each of us; we are a work in progress, and before long
the butterfly will emerge. If you like to see stunningly beautiful
butterflies with a positive message check out
